It shows that you have a strong self-preservation instinct. What HAPPENS when you flinch is where you need to focus. If you see the punch coming and duck, dodge, jump away, cover reflexively, etc. figure out how to simultaneously counter strike from whatever position your natural flinch puts you in.

Even the leaderboards of the game agree. If console has an advantage, then no flinch would be an advantage to using a mouse. Even most PC players play with controller.
